Day 4 is here.....

And I'm writing.  I have actually been looking forward to it today.  Not that I have anything to say, but I have been looking forward to it. 

I have been meditating on a verse that I found last week and I think it speaks to where I am right now. 

And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately.  Worship and serve Him with your whole heart and a willing mind.  For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought.  If you seek Him, you will find Him.  But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.  So take this seriously.  The Lord has chosen you to build a Temple as His sanctuary.  Be strong and do the work.  1 Chronicles 28: 9-10

If I put my name in the place of "Solomon", this whole verse is talking to me about how to stay committed, how to get from today to tomorrow:

• Learn to know God intimately.
• Worship and serve with my whole heart and a willing mind.
• Seek Him and do not reject Him.
• Take it seriously.
• I am, my body is, a sanctuary for the Lord.
• Be strong and do the work.  Stick with it.  Be committed.

I am amazed when I find these nuggets in scripture.  God is talking directly to me and I'm hearing it.  When I realize what a miracle this is I know that if I can learn to depend on God and trust Him enough to give Him everything the impossible can happen.  And I can learn to depend on Him and trust Him by meditating on this scripture and applying it in my life.  I'll be praying this scripture daily.
